Lionheart1211: Everyone says one should move on and not let rejection get the best of one...how do you feel when someone you care about does not reciprocate but chooses someone else instead of you? Is it OK to feel hurt? Doesn't it make one feel small? The winner takes it all...the loser standing small
The only things that belong to you, are your feelings - and however you feel, you are entitled to them. If you take a page full of emoticon expressions and every day pick one out that represents how you are feeling that day- you will find that you dont always feel rejected, hurt, small, etc..... These are just reflections of your daily state of mind, and that does change.
Of course rejection hurts. Its a slap to ones ego. But time does heal, and the scar gets smaller.
My take on this is that these things happen to keep us humble, to have empathy with others who go thru it .... Otherwise we`d be such arrogant self-sufficient b-----ds?

Also,for nigh on a year I gradually fell for a physically,and I thought,personally beautiful work mate. She did lots to encourage my feelings leading me to believe she felt the same.So one day I finally spoke with her personally,in private. She walked off saying nothing. Then she sent me an SMS rejecting me so brutally I was devestated.
Truly I felt crap. When I got over these awful feelings of rejection,not being good enough,etc I sent her an SMS simplysaying thankyou,nothing more. I realised that somebody who could reject me so brutally really wasn,t the person I thought she was and really wasn,t worthy of me. In this situation you in fact are the winner,well done, you got the jackpot.Don,t ever let anyone make you feel so crap again.

rejection is all part of the prosess, you cant make someone love you, then again what is love when all you do is fight. when the fighting stops then its over. feeling small well thats not for me stand taller.
