Aries01: I think creative people have a difference way of perceiving and understanding the world.. and I think also we are capable of seeing beauty in the seemingly mundane things around us.. this permits us to 'think outside the box' because we are not prejudiced to the environment around us.. .
e.g. A photographer will see the potential beauty in a homeless old man, pushing a trolly... he will see the human being for who he is and not judge him..
Those who do not use there perceptions in this way will either shudder and see something inconvenient and unpleasant... or something which is to be pitied...
If we agree that creative people have propensity towards these things.. any theories on why?

Theories, shmeories .. facts, linear proveable facts
Artistic and creative people can only be so, by accessing conceptual processes (ie tying into the source of creation, allowing it to flow from seemingly no where) while others tend to build on the process which requires linear thoughts.. A fits into B, then into C ... a control process, fueled by action. Its accessing creative concepts that is a spiritual connection, after that building your artwork is mostly linear.
A carpenter has to access the consciousness to come up with a creative idea for a home, but then uses linear thinking processes to put it together.
Women by and large tend to be more conceptual (not all but just in general), their world is more grey, less right and wrong or less black and white. Men tend to be the opposite, more linear, thats why we are always trying to fix your problems. Problems are concepts, imagined or otherwise, fixing them is linear. Its what creates balance between men and women, especially if you realize the underlying function of that 'required' balance.
I have a theory on making love with you as a paint brush but that would be way off the OP
SO, ...answer is, since god/creation is a concept, creative types tend to go there more often.

I'd say probably more sensitive and therefor yes more spiritual...simple question, simple answer...
