It's also a little annoying when they do a "friend" request, you decline it and they send it through again. I sent the guy a short message asking him to please accept that no means no. He went off the flippin edge...lol

But what to expect in 21st Century English-speaking countries where so many tertiary ed 1st year students must spend at least the first semester taking Remedial English Grammar in order to write essays, complete university assignments...?
Is it in part a result of high school exams replaced with assessments, and UCAL inspired 'Whole-ed' from the intellectually noxious '80s, combined with Murdoch's Foxtel and News Ltd short attention span commercial TV, as well as telegrammatic mobile phone text and sms fast messages...?
Or has the absurdity of monocultural political correctness and fashionable conservatism served to reduce the many to the mediocre....?
So many profiles listed contain conditions, parameters, prejudices, that suggest personality and articulate communication are secondary. And is is a mandatory expedient to use emoticons rather than attempt explanation and qualification.
Can this lead to misrepresented expectation, misunderstanding and frustration..?
So, how many here would gladly date a Helen Keller or a Frida Kahlo - well I'd be privileged to say "Yes...!"- or a Christy Brown or a Stephen Hawking?
