I think he is too old. US Pres. has got to be an amazingly stressful and complex job.....Reagan was overly dependent on his advisors, I think McCain would be too--just energy wise, physical and mental energy.

Yep - i thibk McCain will struggle past 1 yr at 71
just look at Chainey and hes only the VP!!
It has to be Obama!
Hey - but i dont want to start another set of spewingly long threads on Obama!!
When it comes to leading, I don't think there is a definitive age that could be deemed "too old", however I don't think anyone should be in charge of a country for more than 10 years! Human beings are not capable being responsible with practicaly unlimited resources or power...
prncss4someone: They report that Reagan had hit alzheimers during his term, thus the dependancy on his advisors.
I guess it depends on the individual. McCain has proven to be a very strong minded individual, so I couldn't judge him as being too old or not.
That's a good point, about Reagan. However, being in one's 70's---there is still going to be a limit on energy, physical and mental, that a younger person would not expperience to the same extent.

that is true, but an older person may have the experience to handle things a bit more stress free being that the person in question has had more experiences in certain stressful areas. A younger person has their limitations as well, they are just different limitations.

That's why it should be Hillary---not too young, not too old

and when she doesn't get what she wants, she can cry at will, might come in handy one day when she's talking to other leaders-especially the one's in the Middle East.

mcCain has served well...his record proves himself.
I find it amazing that the same people who say O'Bama's lack of experience and young age shouldn't be held against him, are the same ones who criticize McCains age wisdom and experience.
O'Bama has no record
Clinton is a loser
McCain is a Bush Republican
Vote for the write in of your choice......mine is Colin Powell
