I saw it on the news or some thread, so please do not think I agree or disagree as I have to research it, but it was stated that McCain suffers from PTSD from his VC days as a POW. If that is true, that is another consideration. I like the man, but have to research this to see if it is true.
That is another consideration all Voters should keep in mind. In my opinion, we have three losers running for President, with one saying how his record would help us.....

I doubt he could've hidden that all of these years in public life.
dcj22: I would be very interested in who his running mate is.
Yes, but, I am not comfortable electing a president based on the idea that it is his running mate who may end up with the job before the four years is out.....not comfortable with that...
Allready if that woiuld happen it would be the best we could do in this race, It would be the first time I voted Democratic party for President, I have voted indepdent B4 but this election is a very poor one here...perhaps if they did come together...

Well, if even people who are not usually democratic voters feel this way, somehow they can be prevailed upon, for the sake of the country and the party--my understanding is that they do not get along...also, I imagine Obama would be concerned about being overshadowed by the power couple of Clinton & Clinton....but who knows....

Excellent point about Obama, but I think (hope) his party would be able to pressure him by looking down the road to "grooming" him for the Presidential and a more relaxed entrance to such an important decision and position...The Democrates could probably take advantage of the republicans as we did them back in '88 - not sure would have to research that as well. You do get my drift, I am sure...Superior Court appointments, decisions, SO much...
age is so irrelevant. what affects one doesn't affect others. i can't believe you are discussing politics on a dating site. are you crazy. how boring. i am wondering how young is to young?? i am dating or going to date a man who is the same age as my oldest son and i could be his mom. i don't feel motherly toward him though. but i get hit on by even younger guys. i don't know if i can go there. maybe i could just adopt them. this is so funny.

It is, certainly we can discuss politics here...and that is the purpose of this thread...go for it!!
Not sure yet about Bush, but Reagan would have fit there. I voted for him and I am SO Glad he had some GOOD Advisors.../Remember: Tear down the wall - He and Nixon, which the world may hate were VERY good in Foreign Affairs...The wall came down and Nixon got dialog going between the Chinese and Americans and others. JMHO

I think Nixon gets way to much credit for opening up a dialogue with China---this was an event that was ripe for the time...Nixon just happened to the in the right place at the right time...could have been any other person who was president at the time....same with Reagan and the wall coming down in 1989.....
