Assuming that I knew of this beforehand ... I'd have made sure that my funeral arrangements were all made, my debts were hopefully taken care of because I wouldn't want to burden my family with those, transfer any assets I had to avoid taxes (yikes its crazy how much the government wants our money even when were dead) ...................
so then I'd want to spend time with people I loved, my daughter, grandson and hopefully my mom and dad are still around and friends. I'd love to go to my special place Mill Lake and just enjoy the sunshine on my face for the last time, to hear the birds and feel the wind on my cheek. Perhaps have a picnic and enjoy some of my favorite foods and enjoy a few laughs. If I had a partner - I'd want to share myself with him for the last time - so make ever so tender love and truly tell him how much I loved him from the depth of my soul.

I would prepare the little things to go and take it lightly without much announcement.
It might shake me at the beginning but it is only a subjective matter as we all know it willhappen one day, and we only want to forget about that. This is why I am always light and ready to take such a trip to peace. However, I would like to have some time in this earth.

First I would find my Son, even though I would be risking my life in the process. Then I'd take my Mom, my Daughters, my Sons and my Granddaughter to Ireland and spend as much time there as possible with them.
You never realize how close you are to dying until you see your entire life pass before your eyes and you think of all the things you wanted to do and haven't.
Never forget to tell the people you love that you love them each time you see or talk to them, you may never have the chance to say it one last time. Don't forget to tell someone you're sorry and think you can do it tomorrow, because you may not be able to.

Personally, I do them everyday. I have no clue as to when my ticket will be called..

riyablossom: Valleygirl .. when you read the posts of people here on a day to day basis .. slowly you will realize that most of them have been thro' hell and there are people who are going thro' it and none of us are promised roses in the tommorow. Thats how life is.
I know its easy for me to say cos am not in your situation but when you hear some of the things that people have been thro' you suddenly feel you arent alone or sometimes its much worse for a lot of them. But still they gather themselves and move on.
So .. never stop being happy and living ... tommorow could be beautiful .. but thats only if today you are going to smile and live like it was the best.

I have friends here at home, and there great, but they can not understand how I feel and why, they never have been thru what I have. And at times I feel like I am closer to the friends on CS then to the ones here.
