I hear people sayin'. We Don't need this war. I say there's some things worth fightin' for. What about our freedom, and this piece of ground? We didn't get to keep 'em by backin' down. They say we don't realize the mess we're gettin' in Before you start preachin' let me ask you this my friend.
Chorus Have you forgotten, how it felt that day? To see your homeland under fire And her people blown away Have you forgotten, when those towers fell We had neighbors still inside goin through a livin hell And you say we shouldn't worry bout Bin Laden Have you forgotten?
You took all the footage off my T.V. Said it's too disturbin for you and me It'll just breed anger is what the experts say If it was up to me I'd show it everyday Some say this country just out lookin' for a fight Well after 9/11 man I'd have to say right.
Chorus Have you forgotten, how it felt that day? To see your homeland under fire And her people blown away Have you forgotten when those towers fell We had neighbors still inside goin' through a livin' hell And we vow to get the ones behind Bin Laden Have you forgotten?
I've been there with the soldiers Who've gone away to war you can bet they remember just what they're fightin' for
Have you forgotten All the people killed Yes some went down like heroes In that Pennsylvania field Have you forgotten About our Pentagon All the loved ones that we lost And those left to carry on Don't you tell me not to worry 'bout Bin Laden
Hi everyone, I just can't take you guys anywhere can I. I come back from feeding the horses and find flags blowing in so much hot air they are practically standing straight up. If you are sending a signal to God he says he got the message so hang up already.

Father and I went down to eamp, Along with Captain Gooding; And there we saw the men and boys, As thick as hasty pudding.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
There was Captain Washington Upon a slapping stallion, A-giving orders to his men, I guess there was a million.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
And then the feathers on his hat, They looked so' tarnal fin-a, I wanted pockily to get To give to my Jemima.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
And then we saw a swamping gun, Large as a log of maple; Upon a deuced little cart, A load for father's cattle.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
And every time they shoot it off, It takes a horn of powder; It makes a noise like father's gun, Only a nation louder.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
I went as nigh to one myself, As' Siah's underpinning; And father went as nigh agin, I thought the deuce was in him.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
We saw a little barrel, too, The heads were made of leather; They knocked upon it with little clubs, And called the folks together.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
And there they'd fife away like fun, And play on cornstalk fiddles, And some had ribbons red as blood, All bound around their middles.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
The troopers, too, would gallop up And fire right in our faces; It scared me almost to death To see them run such races.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
Uncle Sam came there to change Some pancakes and some onions, For' lasses cake to carry home To give his wife and young ones.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
But I can't tell half I see They kept up such a smother; So I took my hat off, made a bow, And scampered home to mother.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
Cousin Simon grew so bold, I thought he would have cocked it; It scared me so I streaked it off, And hung by father's pocket.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
And there I saw a pumpkin shell, As big as mother's basin; And every time they touched it off, They scampered like the nation.
Yankee doodle, keep it up, Yankee doodle dandy; Mind the music and the step, And with the girls be handy.
Had not heard thes Ttom, but I'm not surprised, How frustrating! I'll be sure to listen in to Sean Hannity tomorrow. Check his website, too. Surely there must be a link somewhere.
This is my country! Land of my birth! This is my country! Grandest on earth! I pledge thee my allegiance, America, the bold, For this is my country to have and to hold.
What diff'rence if I hail from North or South Or from the East or West? My heart is filled with love for all of these. I only know I swell with pride and deep within my breast I thrill to see Old Glory paint the breeze.
With hand upon heart I thank the Lord For this my native land, For all I love is here within her gates. My sould is rooted deeply in the soil on which I stand, For these are mine own United States.
This is my country! Land of my choice! This is my country! Hear my proud voice! I pledge thee my allegiance, America, the bold, For this is my country! To have and to hold.

Nah we ain't running up any white flags. Only good red white and blue ones. He likes those.
He knows better than any of us, what keeping and flying old Glory has meant. He has been there when a soldier took his last breath on a far battlefield someplace. Been there when a General gave a order that was going to cost lives. Been there when a President gave a General a mission that was going to cost lives. He has been there while the folks back home worried about sons and daughters in distant places. When wifes and girlfriends thought old husbands and boyfriends gone to long into harms way.
He is that calm spirit that takes hold of fear. Says you will not inhabit this person again. He is that refuge where the weariest can find strength. He is the source of light and love that all men and women seek. We don't need to run any white flags to him. We just have to be Americans, he loves us, our country and our flag.

He doesn't mind your party at all, just says he hears you too.
Skybow: I just read it , thanks Indy, it sounds like it might be another BS misquote. And you know how I hates them misquotes. I'm gonna have to check it out now so I can shoot it dead if I need to.
From the Halls of Montezuma To the Shores of Tripoli; We fight our country's battles In the air, on land and sea; First to fight for right and freedom And to keep our honor clean; We are proud to claim the title of United States Marine.
Our flag's unfurled to every breeze From dawn to setting sun; We have fought in ev'ry clime and place Where we could take a gun; In the snow of far-off Northern lands And in sunny tropic scenes; You will find us always on the job-- The United States Marines.
Here's health to you and to our Corps Which we are proud to serve In many a strife we've fought for life And never lost our nerve; If the Army and the Navy Ever look on Heaven's scenes; They will find the streets are guarded By United States Marines.

I say there's some things worth fightin' for.
What about our freedom, and this piece of ground?
We didn't get to keep 'em by backin' down.
They say we don't realize the mess we're gettin' in
Before you start preachin' let me ask you this my friend.

Have you forgotten, when those towers fell
We had neighbors still inside goin through a livin hell
And you say we shouldn't worry bout Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

It'll just breed anger is what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it everyday
Some say this country just out lookin' for a fight
Well after 9/11 man I'd have to say right.

Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?
Have you forgotten?!
