opalbeauty: Sure that is a nice idea but it doesn't matter if the consumers don't have jobs or if they do can't afford the gas to get to work for $8.75 an hour.
Opal, it's not a nice idea, it's a fact. How many times do you see a notice from a company saying they are going to have to raise their prices because the gas is going up? When their costs increase, it gets pssed down to the consumer.
Once again, you did not address the subject, which you brought up to begin with. If Bush were to raise corporate taxes, it would only benefit the government and hurt the consumer.

I very well did address when the consumers don't have jobs because they are being exported and the jobs that are created are low paying it's NOT working, what part of that can't you understand? People are having problems making ends meet in American and suffering from high food prices and low wages. The corporations are making money off cheap labor over seas plus pocketing the tax cuts.
IT'S NOT WORKING WOMAN. IT"S NOT WORKING.
It failed before with Bush's idol Reagan and it is only making the rich richer again with Bush.

This is the major problem when money is not value based. The present debt system always has and awlays will benefit those who have the money....and since they pretty much have the riegns, the little guy is fighing and uphill battle.
The jobs have been getting outsourced since LONG before Bush came into office. There are a lot of unhappy reasons for this. I fail to see how you can think that raising corporate taxes is going to help the situation.
The only thing not working here is your argument. Give us an answer, please!

Why the hell would you decrease the corporate tax cut 10% when Bush's tax cut's haven't created jobs. To pass it down to the consumer who doesn't have a job.

WhatUwish4: "Be assured I will stand with the Black Muslims should the political-winds shift in an ugly direction." ObamaWow. That's a scary enough sentence on it's own. Hard to believe he is even a candidate for President. Thanks.

Why is this an issue, if McCain had said he will stand with white muslims, chistians, catholics if the political wind turned, then would you promote his policy and presidential credentials. There are heaps of decent black muslim citizens within the US and around the world who diserve as much support as any other race, religion or colour.
All I said was that it was scary, and I find it difficut to believe he's running for president. Is that so harsh? I did not bring up the subject, I just reponded to the post above me.

I find your comment absolutely narrow minded.
That is misquoted anyway. I don't know why people want to make an issue of race but someone intentionally misquoted and added "black"
I agree, which is why I jumped back in when the subject went to taxes, etc. These to me are real issues.
But given the fact that we seem to be in the midst of a very difficult struggle with religious extremeists, it gives me very little comfort to read those words.
And to go waaaaaaay back on this thread, my concern about Obama is the fact that he has such a murky past and that he has been unable to dispell all the claims out there. His own book isn't helping him. I don't think I have "bashed" him in any way. I just question this and have grave concerns.
