Hi; I have a slight problem with the wording of some of the questions on the profile. when I put mine on site, I got to the part about body type and put " a few extra pounds" meaning just that, I am about 40lbs. over the weight for my heighth and bone structure, and I am working on it...but when I read some of the ads for guys wanting to meet women, we get along real good till the body type thingy, and some put "average" is what they are looking for....you see, I think I am average, but then someone else might not...hmmmmmm, but then again, when I see certain criteria for body types, I just skip on by, cause what is important to me, is the character of the person and then go from there. But that is my opinion. So I wanted to know what is "average". ???? :) have a nice day.

Well i'm full figured so i have no idea what average is. lol I do have a bone to pick also about this so called "average" body type. I've seen guys profile pictures where they are definately over weight or have a big beer belly and yet they put down average on their body weight. What gives with that??!! Here's another one. When they put what they are looking for in a womans figure they put down everything under the sun, including disabled, but not full figured or few extra lbs. Now that i find funny and yet annoying too. I guess u can't get mad at ignorance.

Lturner, you must be a very nice lady. Average doesn't have a definition here. I bet if you ask this website people will say anybody who's not athletic may pick average. Last, this stuff is relative to this society!

Thank you, I did like getting the input and I guess instead of just passing by the ones that want "average" I will give them the benefit of a doubt that they understand "average" and will send them a flower, a little one, and smile.....bye for now, LTurner...thank you for the compliment, I'm a tomboy, reckon we can be nice too. :)

I only know that some of the profiles I've seen have people that aren't being honest with themselves. Sorry if I offend anyone but just be honest.

I didn't mean it in that sense. I don't judge on the body type but when someone's profile says average and they are more proportionate isn't that like lying. It is to me.

Isn't the average American X number of pounds overweight?

Only saying American because I haven't seen statistics for other countries, though I'm sure they are similar.

average...means not over- weight. Thats the way I read it. I think that people put way too much emphesis on the weight issue, but everyone is entitled to their likes and dislikes. I would like it if someone would just like me, for ...well, me. He's out there and I am going to find him.

I also put a few extra pounds, why? because I am not my idea weight, not far from it, but if I didnt put that, then It would be considered that I lied.

people are too picky.

Yup, people are too picky. But, we should be just a little. Appearances can be decieving...or non-appearances...

The US gov. and we as Americans say that we are overweight but we still enjoy eating all types of food and if we all looked the same then it would be pretty boring. I am about 40lbs overweight and working on loosing it. With all the diets out there it should be easy to loose right (NOT) its harder than ever especially when we see the news that one of the many diets that we try are really not good for us.

I don't bother...Not that I don't care, mind you. Just came to term with my body years ago...I am who I am...Takes to muchtime and energy to worry about it if there are no health issues surounding it...I'd rather spend that time and energy creating, giving, and learning...I have no time for those who judge anyone...

You couldn't be more full of crap, could you?
Did ya just lurk about waiting to be mean to people, or is it an everyday thing with you? hmmm?
Think you missed the point of it all when your head got in the way.
You bet I'd ask questions and get to know them. Jeffery Dalmar was a good looking guy, look at that, hmmm...
Take a look at the people you throw in the faces, you. Remember, they ARE inmagazines and movies...Sprayed, painted, and whatever...Meet them in person? They have the same warts and all that everyone does.
You maybe should take another look around you. You know at the actual people you aim your crap at...Then look at yourself..
Boast the loudest, have small... ego? lol

well if someone is so shallow that they judge you or me on the amount we wiegh then who would want them anyway if hey are that shallow as soon as your relationship hit any kind of adversity they would just disappeer

then you have the food producing corperations that put additives in the food that make hungry after a couple hours so you eat more (profit security)

ottobaby you hit the nail on this head. I couldn't have said it any better. I so think its true that people do care about the body before the seek through the mind. People in general are so damn involved this materialistic thing as well as the Jessica Simpson and Brad Pitt looks. It would really be nice if people would just say what they think instead of looking at what’s in it for them.
