Yes I have....I was dating someone but realized...I don't want a relationship....I am quite content with me right now..and the way things are at the moment....and have other things I want to concentrate on....

somechick: Having someone to have fun with would be ok but not a total commitment. I doubt if I could go through loosing someone again. It's too painful.
You see, there is where one of the problem lays, don't get me wrong, not trying to be any certian way, everyone needs time to heal after a relationship is over, depending on which one of the you got tore up..
but one can't go through life holding over another for what someone else did to them, all of us have been hurt, all of us have suffered at the hands of another, life is a chance, relationships are a chance, waking up in the morning and going to the store is taking a chance that you may never come back...
When a person holds themself back because of what another did to them, means you let that person take away a chance at finding the real one that is ment for you..

It wasn't a breakup my husband passed away.

I have reached that place and come out the other side. I am content and happy with myself but not by myself, not for a prospective 30+ more years. I actually love company and sharing and being with someone. Obviously it has to be the right someone, and I am willing to wait for that, but a companion to go places with and do things with and share stuff with is something I definitely want in my future.
