Why are you a forum "regular"? (39)

Aug 1, 2008 11:52 AM CST Why are you a forum "regular"?
kirip: It seems some people never log out ...they are almost everywhere, anytime. I'll call them forum's "regulars". They write a lot, about a wide variety of subjects and seem to have a good understanding of the forum ambience.

Why do you do it?

You like chatting? You like messing around? You expect to meet a mate? You have friends here? You are bored? You are addicted?....or any of another million reasons? ...and to put a little in, why do you think regulars do it?
All's welcome...

I don't know if I'm a regular or not, I don't know.... but what I know is that I use CS as a break time thing.... and some others because I want to know how everyone (the regularsrolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing ) are getting on.

kirip: I thought this would be the main reason for it....
....after all "regulars", meeting so frequently (even in an internet forum) can't but feel something for each other.

don't send me flowers! Not in public anyway! rolling on the floor laughing

How's "You are Alone!!" strike you as a reason!! roll eyes laugh ie: "single" sigh and you want to be "connected" to people you can relate to, ie: other singles conversing

Most single people live alone (I think uh oh) and this place is better than television for passing the time because, even though it's not usually as interesting, if you're lucky people respond to things you write and you feel your existence is being acknowledged cheering cheering cheering

Nice to feel you continue to exist when you're at home (and not completely alone coz you virtually got friends in your laptop!!) smile

the_picky_one: So, as I was saying, Kirip, I’m a regular, nice person, here for a friendly chat. Oh! And a meaningful relationship, of course…as soon as I convince Lagoona that I’m his better half .

dragonfly88: god... i.e: google

I walked into the city today and passed a church. They are moving with the times - firstly they had a £3 charge for anybody wanting to use their carpark; secondly they had a big sign saying something like - 'You can't get ALL the answers in google - come in!'

In the 70s Liverpool FC were at the top of the football tree (Shankly era) Ian St John was their centre forward.

There was a church in Liverpool with a sign reading

"WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF JESUS CHRIST CAME TO LIVERPOOL"

Some scouse comedian had written underneath......."Move Ian St John to right wing" rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Lagoona22: I think you should give the lil' b**ch a damn good talking to...there's nothing as dangerous as indecision...

Well.....there are always two ways of looking at things. Non immediate decisiveness..could lead to creativity, and variety... the *spice* of life? No?? grin rolling on the floor laughing

And by the way: Geminis CANbe very decisive....don't underestimate them! Might take them a bit *longer* sometimes..... and other times, no time at all. It all depends on the situation, and priority/importance. banana

Exactly like me... sometimes I work at the computer from 6 in the morning till late at night with many shorter and longer breaks... so I am online, though I do not post much... and my weekends are almost all reserved for dog shows...
