I like to keep a first date simple and am usually more relaxed during the day when it's possible to meet then..........night time dates seem more romantic and more appropriate for future dates.

An outside patio for appetizers and a few drinks or coffee...

Bowling is always fun and gives you something to do if you're at a loss for what to say...

I even love meeting at the zoo on a pretty day......

I never end a date by saying I will call if I don't plan to. I just thank them for spending time with me and leave it at that.

Don't do the dinner thing at first, eating is too personal, mouths open, tonsils glaring at you, chomp chomp. Don't start off with drinking either, best to be alert and your less likley to slur and say something stupid.
I always ask them to meet for coffee first ( a nuetral public safe place for them) and if things are going good you can go off to do other things.

Woman like new and exciting things, things they havn't done before, things that get thier adrenaline going....say skydiving (good luck with that!) sking, dirt bikes, fishing for big game fish, scuba diving in a shark cage, just scuba, snorkeling, biking? hiking mountains. Some things they may have no desire to do. Don't ask them what they want to do, some consider that lame....woman, an inigma.

Balence it out with something relaxing, a Museum,art gallery, campfire on the beach, log cabin on a lake etc.

Its hard to figure out what to do, look in the Sunday paper and see what events/club meetings, lectures? are going on. Don't worry so much about wht to do, just do anything.

try to get her away from the competiton, c*ck blockers(bars and clubs are not good)

Try to keep the first date short, maybe an hour or 3 at most. If she is having a great time then sure, extend it.

You want to create desire, if you spend too much time at first with her she may get board. If you keep it short and give her a few(3) days without a call, she may be dying to get back together with you. You have to play that scene out a few times. Push/pull its called. You get to clingy they will push you away. Don't be calling her every day 3 times a day. After the 1st date, make sure she has your number if she wants to call you

ending a night, keep it simple, I often don't go for a kiss(maybe on the cheek, maybe not, dependes)....again creating tension/desire, just plain being a decent guy...woman want to feel that you are safe, can control yourself. If she hasn't jumped YOUR bones yet....Some woman DO want to kiss on the first date. The second or third date is a definte for kissing, if it doesn't happen by the 3rd, then it prolly never will. If she says "we can be friends" move on, don't waste your time.

I like it.. makes me feel not so old..
