EnSilencio: Here we stop the press when it ACTUALLY rains.
Mainland gets even hotter than here during summer months... but I've lived on the mainland in winter and it's cold, windy and very wet... thing that got me was the 2 to 3 hour window, when it got warm... weird
lola36: Playa De Las Americas ,is it just beside Los Christianos is it????
Ooh yeah I remember you saying.... if you get the chance, spend a day at Playa La Pinta at Porto Colon... lovely beach and there's huge inflatable's (climbing frames, trampolines) in the sea.
don't forget high factor sun cream... even when it's overcast or windy you will burn.
The beach front at Los Christano's has just been updated... it's a wonderful stroll from Las America's to Los Christano's... Ooh, there's plenty of bars... just in case you get a thirst on.

Sounds like your visiting San Eugenio.... there's two.....one seems to be middle of the market... still close to everything... the other.... is spectacular...
The way I see it is.... if it's clean and tidy... it's only somewhere to sleep... there's so much to see and do..
you need to visit Aqualand 31€ per person (expensive yes) but great day out... definitely hire a ring for the water slides... ooh and make sure you eat before you go in.... it's very, very expensive to buy food and drinks.
Definitely book 'Freebird'... you go out on a Catermaran... and see the Dolphins (that is amazing)
load's of bars and restaurants I could recommend.. on sunday's 'Kitty O'Shea's'... there's a geezer who sings in the afternoons.... he's that bad he's hilarious...
need any more pointer's let me know.... you'll love it

Done that walk many times stooie, a friend of mine owned an apt in Los Christano's. Not been there for quite a few years now though.
