This post is for you ladies, something to consider.

If you have read my posts here, you have noted. That I have mentioned with respect in the past...a woman fighter pilot in Afghan,
a young army female medic that got the silver star in Iraq, Mrs. Bhutto of Pakistan, and women in Iraq that placed their thumbs in the ink well the first time they voted. I have tried to do it with respect and honesty.

I began to think of what Sarah Palin's nomination and election to be the US VP might mean to these women around the world. Some that have placed thier lives into harms way, some that have died because of thier political views and some that are risking alot by supporting a
democratic process in thier country.

Started to think about what a rejection of the McCain/Palin ticket meant to them as well.

Over 3 billion women live in today's world. They have cracked the gender glass ceilings from being astronauts, to politicians, to soldiers, to military commanders, to doctors, to educators in countries around the world. Few get to be where Sarah Palin is today.

American woman are in a very unique place. If they vote for a McCain/Palin ticket...the message they send to the women of the world and thier daughters...is anything in the world is within your reach and to keep striving for it.

Setting aside your personal views of religion, to right to life, to NRA, to coming from a small community for a moment. Is that not the message
that American women should send?

If on the other hand, American women reject the McCain/Palin ticket.
The message that is sent to the women of the world, is just the opposite. That in your support a ticket of Obama/Biden, a canidate that also rejected and did not even vet Hillary Clinton a woman with
some 18,000,000 supporters. Says what to the women of the world?

That is why I say your position is so very unique. It is a once in a life time decision that American women get to make.

I cannot make that decision for you whether of greater importance
is promotion of womanhood in the world is more important than the issues I asked you to set aside. I just ask that you conisder this.
Because I have yet to hear it as a issue mentioned in the media.

Sarah Palin might not be your cup of tea. But surely she is a cup a tea to millions of other women. And surely she will know the issues of women better than either Obama or Biden. American Ladies, you are in a very unique place in history. With out a swing from the Hillary moms to support the McCain/Palin ticket....likely they will be rejected.

This is a really tough choice for you. I recognize that. The question I have did Obama recognize that in his rejection of Hillary? He could have gained your support by simply bringing Hillary on the ticket. The vetting you should be looking for at this time. Is his vetting of Joe Biden. Was it a 'good old boy vetting' of one page? Was it a hand shake done 4-6 months ago in some backroom? It would tell you a lot, Ladies.

Godsgift: Bill Clinton maintains that what he actuall said to Monica was, " Hold my calls ans sack my cook," and I for one believe him!

Seriously though, he threw himself into the peace process over here and did a great deal of good and for that I'm grateful!

With this one success he still had many failings..... The USAF had Bin Laden in their sites and needed his ok, but he was too busy playing golf to take the call. Then again if he was doing his job rather than receiving a "Job", think how bad the world would really have been screwed up.

Fallingman: Hi Robert!

It is actually quite disturbing to see all the hard chaw Republicans in here falling in love so easily. It is exactly what they accuse Danish Dude of......not thinking, uncritical admiration of a flashy novelty.

Where's the beef?.....as a famous (Republican) advert once said.

Actually, I came to my conclusion after a good deal of research into *who* Palin *really* is...I wouldn't call it uncritical....nor a flashy novelty. I think, at this time, she would be good for America.

You are free to continue your love affair with NoBama....since critical analysis reveals him to be a big nothing to me, I don't really care....

To me, a single mom, raised two sons and works, this race is NOT about gender! It is about qualifications. I believe Obama is the only answer here. It has nothing to do with a "woman in the whitehouse"

After listening to Obama's acceptance speech, them McCain's, that should wrap it up for anyone, but apparently we (Democrats) have more work to do.

I am looking at the issues of "privatizing schools" not a good thing, "privatizing social security" not good, and McCain's speech was empty and uninformative.

I believe that McCain and his group want to keep the average working person down and keep the wealthy status the same. They want two classes of people, them and the working people who will never survive another four years of the republicans.

Yes if I thought I could EVER make $300,000 I'd be on their side. But most of us never will.

The govt. is supposed to be "by and for the people" not against us.

No doubt Joe Biden has been under the media eye as much as Palin. I don't recall a negative comment about Biden. If you've heard one...share it with us. : ) His past isn't exactly saintly. (and I'll even acknowledge I kinda like him)

With both doing miserable...I'd love to see them privatized (to some degree).

So...if you hit $150k you might become a moderate then, instead of a liberal? confused

Thats funny....I felt the same way...about NoBamas speech...empty, vacuous, seemed designed to make people "feel" better...typical liberal. But...you gotta go with who you believe in...

I don't believe the average worker is being "kept down" by anything except their own innate abilities and beliefs. You can go as far as you want to in this country. If you don't go anywhere, then you have *nobody* to blame but yourself...nobody has the right to say "The damn republicans\democrats are keeping me from being a success"!! That's absurd!

And NoBama's stated intent is to "tax the rich", using a system that is *proven* to decrease treasury revenues!

No wonder the "rich" are looking to protect their wealth...they earned it. 90% of the taxes in this nation are already being paid by the top 5% of the earners...what more do you want?

OK Peeps, here we go again... An Acceptance Speech is not intended to have gobs of details like a regular speech. It is an ACCEPTANCE SPEECH... It is intended to provide a "broad brush" overview of the canidates so the public gets to know them - and it is more of a formality to the election process than anything else.

What, pray tell, did Obama have to say during his Acceptance Speech that was so earth shattering?

Let me expand on this thought.... hmmmm.... what do any of them actually say?.... well.... t depends on who they are saying it too. Speeches are nothing but empty promises to get elected..... nothing more.
