RedHeadedTaurus: Argh! I meant to add a few words that I apparently neglected the 1st time, but it didn't work out... I'm sure you catch my drift, anyway...

ummm, no .. I wasn't expecting you to be so verbose, and I am now confused because of it rolling on the floor laughing

diogenes: The quantitative data seems to be missing on this, but I would like to offer some anecdotal qualitative data, and say that this has been my experience, and I believe it to be true.

Xtabentun: It's so easy to get carried away in VR....we're all facing our dream images here....it's tempting to give in and slide....

so youre saying its not easy to get carried away in RL?

diogenes: What?

It is a well established VR evolutional theory that, the stronger minded most responsible and desireable VR mates have through the process of natural selection weeded out the less mature dreamers, sliders.
(I'm making this up as I go along too)

That should be on Page 1 !!!!

Xtabentun: and by thus, making the whole VR mating process even more complicated, as all the seasoned, matured, stable individuals also prove to be slow , undecissive, hessitant, extremely cautious and ......scared of commitment....
Eventually, the human race as we know it , perrished

(I'm making this up as I go along too)

doh no non ... the theory cant include extrapolated prognosis, as accurate as the thesis might be.nerd

professor what i am saying is that in VR is easier to get carried away for the wrong reasons.

In real world, you can get carried away even quicker, but somehow you can veryfy the cryterias you're applying ....heck, might fall in love with the way a man move his hands when he's talking , but I know that he is actually doing that, so there's a real base for my feeling dunno

Man hands....

Feeling....

Emotions reeling....

Fall in love....

Get carried away...

I like how you think....

I love what you say....

I'd like to verify a few criterias, by placing my man hands on your posterior.

diogenes: Thus is the recipe for the evolution of evolutional theories of any type. 2 table spoons of conjecture, ½ cup of hypothesis, 8 oz can of suppositions, and a pinch of evidence.

dunno I think the possibility to 'fool' ourselves in ' facing our dream images' exists in both.

For me there is a huge difference between 'intent' and behavior and most times engrained behaviors take over, so the dream image is thwarted in some weird self-destruct event, and in both worlds drinking

What i mean, for me is easier to get carried away in the virtual world...not necesarely a bad thing, as in real life I tend to dimiss everybody at a fingersnap sometimes blues

and I'm not sure that that is 'better' in all cases, since our, lets say moods change daily or our tolerance level morphs in and out. We may sometimes miss or dismiss to readily (in RL) people that we may indeed be suited for. dunno
