Nuclear suppliers group have decided to resume civilian nuclear commerce with India.....ending more than three decades of nuclear isolation for India, it came after three days of intense diplomacy by the US and India in the nuclear cartel that controls the global flow of nuclear fuel and technologies.A victory for both India and US ....3 cheers for President
Bush's and Prime Minister Singh's efforts who took personal interest n put all their weight behind the deal. The deal has brought India into the international nuclear club.Seen primarily as a strategic move by Bush to maintain balance of power in south east asia by bringin India on board as an ally . Hope the US congress passes 123.
Are US-Indo relations at an all time high?

personally...I am against India and Pakistan having nukes. But I am also against the U.S. having nukes. India and Pakistan should not have them for the same reason that Israel and Iran shouldn't have them. They are enemies. If we sign a deal with India...the same should be with Pakistan. If we sign a deal with Israel, the same should be with Iran. Just my not so humble opinion

I'd agree with this.

As it now stands, any trouble in the eastern not-so-friendly countries, means that India will be asked to deploy it's weapons, since it is nearest.

Retaliation will be on India too, and not the US, who will most likely have ordered it.

What Pyare is celebrating is actually going to cost his country big time. They are just another pawn in a war that the US is too cowardly to take responsibility for and doesn't have the tactical advantage for, in person.wine

hi shipoker.........ur opinion is most welcome.........it took India 30 long yrs to not to be equated with Pakistan..............lol

Indian nuclear programme is totally indeginous, we offered unconditional moratorium that will not nuke any country first.....India is a responsible nuclear state .so ur point does not make any sense in todays world. We had our first nuclear test in 74.India always had a rightful place in the nuclear club .....shame took so long.

Its really very shockin that ppl around the world still see India n pakistan together ....i guess they know little about India.
We r not enemies ........neighbours by destiny........n we both r tryin to improve relations.

Oh GOOD!! Perhaps Libya will be next or hey, maibe even Egypt and Yemen, they could really use nuclear power...but let's not leave poor Iran out; that just would not be fair , or the new and upcoming Iraq or Syria also! Hell, let any country that wants to go nuclear, even a new Palestine if it ever comes into existence, go for it...it's a free world.....isn't it....

pyaremohan: lol u clearly dont know anythin about it..........sweetie we did just fine with sanctions ..n i think u dont know about the sanctions that i wrote about.........they r the ones for commerce b/w NSG for nuclear materials to run nuclear reactors for makin electricity ....

Stop being so condescending and calling me sweetie. I don't know what kind of chauvanistic place you some from, but by any standards your attitude is very rude. Your remarks are ignorant.

I do know what sanctions you are refering to and I do read up on world affairs. You apparantly don't know all the implications, just as you admitted you didn't know things on other subjects that were posted on here previously, so stop being so arrogant until you know what I know.

The lifting of the 1998 nuclear-test sanctions will allow U.S. economic and military assistance to India to go forward. Most importantly, Washington can support Indian applications for international financial institution loans. India is the largest single borrower from the World Bank.

It's all about who owns who administered by American corportations and the American government. And right now, the international monetary fund owns you. That is the price of the sanctions being lifted. You have to do as they say.
