wow what a powerful message! Thank you for finding it and posting it. I wish everyone would really think about who they are willing to put in office, when it comes to Obama. Yes he may be an eloquent reader, speaker, what have you, but you take that away and what exactly are you left with? It just scares the daylights out of me to know our country is willing to put such a man into leadership and power.

I think you're correct there, he must have forgotten quite a bit actually.

Duhhhhhh....we were attacked by Afghanistan...not Iraq.

Duhhhhhhh...Congress authorized going to war after being knowingly lied to by the president. They were fed false information by a manipulative president.

Duhhhhhhh...Bin Laden hated Sadam and called him a fool. Sadam had nothing to do with 9-11

Duhhhhhhh...9-11 wasn't even mentioned as a reason for attacking Sadam...it was WMDs, not 9-11. That was added later to further enrage the people to support an illegal act by our country.

I have no idea whether this guy is genuine or not but either way it seemed to me that the message was

You can never oppose war. War is good. War is for "freedom". If you oppose war you are disrespecting the deaths of the poor soldiers who were sent into battle and killed. Therefore you must support war. There is no other option.

The other thing this says (something said a lot in these forums) is that people who have fought in battle somehow know more about politics and about the rights and wrongs of wars than those who have not. Myself, I would prefer people with good judgment to be in charge rather than people with battlefield skills.

This is just another piece of election propoganda and should be seen as such.

Although I honor all our veterans and those who are serving America in uniform I'm tired of death and war. War is exactly what the terrorist want, to them it is holy and a quick trip to virgins waiting in heaven.

They are operating in groups funded by many fanatics, cut some down and more are born to die a holy death. I think we need to stop them yes, but we need to stop the countries supporting them, the leaders leading them.

They love the sound of a saber rattling, it harbors more blood, more death more fighting of the unbelievers. I think our military running around on the ground are doing their job while our leaders don't do their job. There needs to be sanctions, diplomacy and pressure put on the people, the big corporations profiting, and the countries promoting and funding this madness. We are still doing business with them for the oil they have.

Now McCain is a veteran, as he so often reminds us is his qualification for the presidency. While he was a POW he collaborated with the enemy for 3 of his 5 years speaking against the US, promoting the VC and giving information. This only stopped when a new regime took power in VN, one who was interested in winding down the war.

Later McCain helped to block the search for his brother POW's, refusing to release vital paperwork from the government and acting very angry and agressive towards the people who wanted to search for the missing (Kerry was part of that scene too).

He married big money and wallows in big lobby money now surrounded by lobbiest. & of his current top 10 advisor's belong to big money lobby's. So how is he going to bring any reform working so closely with them at his side?

He's a mouthpiece for those guys and a sell out. I'm voting for Obama.

Judging form the posts it sounds like he's not an Obama voter. But if you polled Iraq vets I doubt you'd find a large number who thought invading Iraq was a good idea in the first place.

Iraq never attacked us even though the lying criminals in the White House would like you to believe it. The more people who believe it, the more it lessens their chances of being held accountable for it.

They're like the Mafia without all the integrity.
