I don't know if it would help if you told what your disability is?
Your not getting any responses to your cry for help, I don't know why as the people here are overal a caring bunch.

If your not good at spelling write your profile in your email if you have spell check there.
Then copy and paste bringing it over here in your profile.
Hope I could help you a little.

OK, I just got some good advice on mine and made some changes tonight, so I'll see if I can help you.

1. I would not put in your profile about having a disability. Just about wanting to be accepted for you (we all want that so everyone can relate). I would tell a woman about it early on if she seems sincere. Honestly, if someone likes you for you, that won't matter, but get them there first.

2. I would also take out the part about wanting someone to relocate to you. If it gets that serious, she probably will anyway. I know you're being honest, but that's too much in the profile for "in the beginning".

3. I would add the part about "I don't drink, I don't do drugs and I don't cheat."

4. Talk on the Forums. It's fun and you meet great people. Seems to me that the success stories I've seen on here met that way and became friends first.

5. Update. If you've been on here for 6 years, then it's been more than 3 yrs since you lost your wife to cancer.

Hope I've helped...and hope making some of these changes helps you. And see what others suggest after reviewing your profile. I think it's awfully brave to come on and ask.

Btw, your age range is fine for your age(to me, anyway).

Hey, Jen...I'm sure others will respond. We were just the fastest readers of his profile!

As I told, the people on here are mostly a caring bunch.
It is difficult to advise I feel about the disability.

Well help was asked about the profile and you gave it.

This thread was moving and no one was responding so I gave
it a kick up.

Yes hope more are going to respond now.

Hi Chip,
I checked out your profile and what you said in this post, maybe with the disability you should state it, maybe some ladies don't want to ask thinking they may be rude. The part about relocating maybe should be left out, it gives the woman the feeling that she has to move. Maybe you will meet a woman and be willing to move to her, but either way it's to early to think about. jmo...The rest looks perfect you look like a good guy.

Good to see you have friends here already.
Keep being visable!
If not getting a date at least you will make friends here.

The path to true love is not easy. Just hang in there keep asking people out. Have you tried others sites as well? Do you belong to any social clubs, go to church, have any interest in taking classes that might put in contact with women? Start out being friends with someone first maybe find those with the same interests that you have. Just keep putting yourself out there. Good luck

That would be the other option, to state the disability. It might not be a turn-off to some.

And NMG had a point...that if you've had dates, you're not doing all that bad. Just hang in there. When it's meant to be, it will be.

Updating and keeping things fresh is a good idea, though.

OK, I just got some good advice on mine and made some changes tonight, so I'll see if I can help you.
I haven't looked at your profile but I have highlighted some things I agree with here and given some of my own comments.

1. I would not put in your profile about having a disability. Just about wanting to be accepted for you (we all want that so everyone can relate). I would tell a woman about it early on if she seems sincere. Honestly, if someone likes you for you, that won't matter, but get them there first.
I thought long and hard about this, before I too, left my handicaps for later. I have to say I think it was the best move I could have made. The ones you do tell it to when they contact you, will show what they are truely made of, by if they stay or if they never contact you again.

3. I would add the part about "I don't drink, I don't do drugs and I don't cheat."
thumbs up thumbs up thumbs up :thumbsup

4. Talk on the Forums. It's fun and you meet great people. Seems to me that the success stories I've seen on here met that way and became friends first.

Absolutely. There are many people here whom have just accepted me for me.

5. Update. If you've been on here for 6 years, then it's been more than 3 yrs since you lost your wife to cancer.

Ohhhh,: uh oh that looks bad uh oh could invalidate #3 if it is accurate uh oh

Best of luckwine

First thing to me, lighten up. Looking for a soulmate ... willing to relocate ... that's a bit too big of an order. Your profile should tell about you, what you like to do, and what kind of person you like. The dog pic is great, tell about him/her in your profile. Some of the others look just alike, could get rid of a few of them. If you're going to mention your disability in the profile, tell what it is and do it in an upbeat positive way. Have some fun with your profile, and don't ask for anything but friendship, the rest will happen when it's supposed to happen. hug
