Besame: at work today.
My company was bought out last year and for the most part it's been a positive change. But we hired a new head of HR about a year ago and she's been firing people ever since. She's a heartless B!@tch and is destroying the culture at our site.
Today she fired someone that I have worked for, for over 14 years . He was like a father to me and it's devastating. He gave me opportunities and took chances on me that most people never would have.
This is the second time. Last January she fired my boss, whom I loved working for and was very close to personally. At this point I don't know how I'm gonna look her in the face without seething venom and hate. I'd like to smash her head in for being too stupid to realize what she is doing . If I don't get a serious attitude adjustment by tomorrow, I'll be next (I've already had a few run ins with her).

I'm not very good at hiding my emotions. I think I better just avoid her. She really is an awful woman and I wish someone had the balls to can her. I swear we'd be celebrating at work-that's how much she is despised

Ya know, I'm amazed sometimes at how much influence one person can have at a company. She has changed us from a group of happy, well adjusted, workaholics, to a miserable, unproductive bunch who are constantly in fear of losing their jobs.

We had one like this at my last job...and I have a friend who is still there. Took two years, and a lot of damage, but she's finally gone. They're still fixing mistakes from 2 years ago because she never wanted anything fixed, just get it done quickly, numbers were all that mattered. Finally, someone got smart, others are getting fired that she promoted, and quality has become more important than quantity. Took too long, and they lost a lot of good people along the way.

You might start thinking about working somewhere else. (Just
to think about it.) If you feel spiritually inclined you could pray and ask the powers that be to guide you. You have taken some action here by 'talking' to us. And I can't wait. The funny thing is, she is completely clueless. One of my colleagues was stuck on a plane with her recently and she kept going on about how well she and I got along. I almost fell off my chair when he told me.

Thank you, but I've been there for 15 years and have a whole lotta sweat equity in this site. I love what I'm doing, the people I'm doing with, and I'm not leaving til I'm damn good and ready!
