Ok so I have this girl who has been a distant friend of mine for about 4 years now. And she brought up being friends with benifits. I would really want to take her up on her offer but I don't want to hurt her if she wants to move on to a relationship. I just would like it to be Friends with benifits and thats all. Any advise would help.

Well then...

Don't.

Simple.

Unless you have feelings that run deeper than friendship....

thumbs up... true.. we like to think that we can mess around with this kind of stuff and not get burned... not true ... someone always gets burned....

Saw a doc recently on Polygamous marriages.. the intention of the programme was to show the world that it was all A-Ok and everyone was happy... not the impression I got at all, in particular the women were miserable and lonely and felt underappreciated.. the men typically were controlling manipulative and clearly thought they were getting a great deal and all was rosy.... now while it was just one documentary showing only a portion of the truth... to me it is a strong indicator that messin with nature and trying to re-invent the rules... just doesn't work.. we are humans.. .we have feelings... and yes we can get hurt...

The labels add confusion. Keep it simple. If you are both ready to date then date each other.

If you both are attracted to each other enough to benefit each other then let it progress. You've

known each other for four years. If your gut instinct tells you 'no' then don't do it.

There you go, solved.
