In the UK Tony Blair.... was a reasonable PM.... he lost the plot towards the end....
for Obama supporters in the US..... congratulations
for McCain supporter in the US.... my commiserations
What I (JMO) has witnessed in the United States is a Nation of people who have been allowed to make a stand and vote in their winner to lead there people from within there own borders and on the world stage..
Allow me to go back to Tony Blair.... he decided to step down....
but the British were no given or allowed to have a voice to replace him.... instead we we informed that an Incompetant 'Ex-Chancellor of the Exchequer' would now lead us...
In fairness Gordon Brown is a genius in World Economics.... but as a leader.... he's not JMHO
The UK people should now see that if America can change in a democratic way.... why was the citizen's of United Kingdom... not given the same opportunities
JMHO

This is why, for better or for worse, I'm happy that I was born in the US.
I'm not happy about the results of our election here, I think it was the worst outcome, but at least for now we have the ability to choose, and the freedom to live our lives without restrictions, so long as it's within the law. That's a good thing.
There are a lot of countries I would love to visit, but I don't think I'd ever want to live in a Monarchy, or any country where I didn't have the right to choose, to vote, and to speak my mind freely about it.

Have a great day, everyone!
I live in a monarchy, and I do believe I can do all those things...
Olsojente: Yes, you're right... and it's even socialist...
It's even more Socialist than Sweden. Norway has an immense amount of wealth that they spread around. I know a lot of Swedes who have moved to Norway to make more money and will probably never come back to Sweden. One of my closest Swedish friend lives in Oslo. He keeps trying to persuade me to move there...lol

Sorry that's a very uneducated answer........ The UK has freedom of speech... you can vote... you can choose where you want to go etc, etc,
It just doesn't take one year to vote!
but back to my point...... if you did read it...... The Labour Party were in Goverment in the UK..... rather than allowing candidates within the Labour Party have a chance to lead the Party and the UK....
It seems that a deal was done behind closed doors... without the concensus of the people being allowed to choose!!!!
StressFree: I think you are so wrong. Sorry, nothing personal. And Norway has the highest standard of living in the world.
We each have the right to our own opinion on the outcome of this election.
As to the second part, cool....I just learned something. I'm always willing to listen and learn...it's only on my politics that I don't budge, but I'll still listen. I'll argue, but I'll listen.
I can be a stubborn cuss for one so open and flexible.

I agree with you 100%...
It was the Worst choice..
but I am happy i wont be here long enough to find that out...
You..Me and others agree..
And others dont..
but dont let others bring you down..
They have their opinions..they agree he was the right choice..
I dont care if others say to me..we are wrong for believing this...
We feel/believe its the worst mistake for him to be elected..
but no one knows..US will find out good/bad sooner then later
As i said it dont matter to me..becos i wont be here to see any of this..whether the choice was good/bad...
but we have our opinions..
Dont mean just becos other like/dislike should put others down for their choice..
I didnt say anything bad about anyone choice..
I am talking about Obama..not anyone choice..
I dont agree he was the best..
Enough said
Joanne, I think the "you're wrong" up above was about some facts not about the right to an opinion. You are perfectly entitled to yours too. I was just curious about why it was so strong against Obama. He won so now he has to govern well.....but there is no reason to think he will be very bad...no reason yet, anyway.

Didn't you make a big deal about giving up everything and moving to America "for love"??? But now after such a short stay...you are moving back to Canada!! So you really just took a vacation here, right??
Or did the election "suddenly" change your mind?? If so, you are right to leave! Americans stay and fight...that is why we won back the government! If you don't like who the Canadians elect....where will you move??
