IMmeURyou: wow that.s a toughy, i don't know the circumstances and maybe shouldn't comment, but maybe the hospital is the safest place for the time being, they can monitor her and hopefully stabilize it somewhat with the right meds. i feel it is not my place to comment, but my grandma had alzheimer's really bad, and she became quite violent as well, my grandpa couldn't control her on his own. i hope none of this offends you, just sharing a point of view. i hope the best for you.
No it does not offend me as I know that violence is a sad part of alzheimer's. It is that after my dad leaves from visiting her she would go around into other residents rooms looking for him. They had to restrain her. She is now pulling the staffs hair when they are taking care of her and striking out at the other residents.
My dad thinks it is because she is locked in there and if at home she would not be violent. I know she cannot be home as she would take off from there and get lost.

it is a catch 22, i wish there was something i could tell you to make things better, but i am at a loss. i guess all i can say is sorry.
