rizlared: Your idea of dating someone seems to be very different from my experience here in the UK, maybe its a cultural thing , but for me if I am "Seeing" someone, but not yet in a relationship, I would still be exclusive to that person, how else can you build up to it becoming a relationship, I would feel that the person I was with was not particularly interested in me, its as though I was just a convenience, just there when others where not available.

Surely you would know within a very few meetings if you were attracted to the other person and if the feelings were mutual you move forward.

I had no idea that saying "will you be my girlfriend" was still in vogue, last time I said that I was about 10

No offence intended, just teasing ok

laugh 10, eh? You started young. You must be real smooth and very charming by time. No more nerves for you. laugh

It's the spirit of what Im saying not a letter of law. Dating is light and fun yet casual. You can decide from day one to only date that one person you have a gut feeling could be the one.

Cultural, nah. I've always thought of things this way. I guess I just like good old fashion romance and courtship (to use a word of old). Now I have friends that say they "broke up" after 2 dates and Im like "Broke up?" "How could you break up? You weren't even together." rolling on the floor laughing

Defo believe that its wrong to enter into a marriage if theres no love between the two people...

Love is the essence of life...

Love is the greatest gift and its wonderful when you can share it with another person...

I"d rather be poor with a heart full of love to give n share....

Than be rich in money and have everything materialist...

Love people..thats what counts...

If there were more love in the world..the world would be a much better place to live in...

There is far too much..Hate in the world....

I wouldn't marry for money. I guess one wieghs everything up when choosing a partner and it's possible it may tip the scales but probably wouldn't come into concideration that much.

Would huge debts on the other's part alter your choice?

The short answer is no...

I met a wee girl in paris many moons ago with a 'debt'...never knew that when we first met..her 'ex' made a mess and when i knew the score, i re-structured the debt worked longer hours and helped her pay it off..

Twisting your words a bit (with respect)...if a girl had more money than me (if this is macho ...sorry), but i doubt if i could go out with her.

I'm being straight here folks..personally i don't care about money and if i have the cash in my pocket(bank account) and the wee girl i'm with wants something i'll pay....But i don't like girls picking up my tab...I don't know if that makes sense..I really don't care..It's just me...

Ok, if I go out for a night and she buys me a pint oor invites me to a restaurant the odd time fair enough, but I have old fashioned principles..kinda like blokes open doors for girls, give them your coat cause they are cold or if there is a pool of water you put your jacket on the puddle so she doesn't get her feet wet....
