Well, I got this talk programme, in German ..... A very attractive woman, and the interviewer. And she kept referring to herself as a PEANUT GIRL. So I assumed, sort of, that she was, like, one of those girls who win agricultural type beauty competitions ... and she was The Peanut Girl. You know how you get Miss Harvest, Miss Potato, Miss Pumpkin, etc ......
So, eventually the interviewer says he`s going to show some of her photos ....... And she is a PIN-UP GIRL! A professional Pin-up Girl.
Gonna take me a looooong time to Hear German!

Anyway, I began this thread because I`m wondering if any of you out there have ever thought you heard something and found out it was not what you thought it was?

well I once went into a Spanish shop and asked for five kilos of new potatoes and got five kilos of eggs instead Eggs=huevos. New potatoes=patatas nuevas. A Spanish woman behind me told the woman she was stupid " who wants five kilos of eggs for gods sakes woman". True, it would have to have been a very big tortilla I was gonna make.
