I will buying gifts for my late friend's kiddos Friday morning. His wife will have a few weeks before she receives the life insurance payment, and that means a loss of income for most if not all of December. So the only way to not affect their savings is to get them presents, which is the least I can do.
Otherwise, I usually buy a little something for my nursing staff, and a littel something for my room mate.
