Am not worried - used to cooking for large numbers. Christmas Lunch is 'open house' - anyone can walk in and expect lunch AND a gift under the Christmas tree....that's a tradition I picked up from the Loreto Nuns who raised me.

Personally, I think its as commercial as you want it to be.
But what about the spirit of Christmas? What about the sharing and caring that soooo many people exhibit? Watching my girls spend time with the aged through the year and then buying little gifts for each of them (from their own pocket money) fills my heart with pride and my eyes with tears - THAT is Christmas for me.
