A whole lot of people, "slip, sliding away" on their way to work. Schools are canceled, and that brilliant idea of treating roads before the storm works like a charm for anybody trying to get something done without actually working. The labor force, and snow removal equipment has been reduced to save money, while succeeding in shutting down schools, greater risk of accidents has people must go to work. Need to get to work, and make enough money to overcome the tax burden, that pays for those services ensuring we make it to work safely.

Only 26 degrees, but there's a ton of snow with more to come, plus freezing rain tonite. Government is shut down today (like that really takes much) and police are telling people to stay off the roads. So I got today off work, weeeeeee!

I tried to get to work, but by the time I got out of my neighborhood and 2 blocks down the main road, my car had almost spun out 4 times and almost slid into oncoming traffic twice. I didn't dare trying to cross the bridge.

We're getting round one of our nasty weather snow mixed with sleet. The it's supposed to clear up some later today. Then we're in for round two of the snow mixed with sleet.

Snowing now with about 3 1/2 inches. We are suppose to get a total of 6 inches of snow and ice.

We got snow last night, that turned into sleet/freezing rain/rain today. Now the wind's blowing & freezing everything up!
