I say unfortunately because we've had water rationing since last April and we desperately need at least a months worth of rain just to get some water in the dams. We had torrential rain on Saturday for a short while and I was outside, umbrella in one hand and broom in the other sweeping the drive and patio because we're not allowed to use hose pipes now. The locals think I'm mad.

well I hate to be a killjoy but yesterday's rain is no more and a brave sun is warming the sodden jungly weeds and also my old bones!
Oh and my snowdrops are sooooo nice even if they're now in unexpected places due to building works last summer.
