No, it isn't a bad thing, per se. It seems to be a growing phenomenon right now. I get hit on more by younger men, actually. They tell me that girls their age are immature & can't hold an intelligent conversation.
Unfortunately, then I get called a "cougar", even though they pursue me.
In reality though, my opinion is that younger (I'm talking quite a bit younger here) men may be "fun" for a bit, but I don't think they really want what we want. That's just my opinion.

his post and his profile don't contradict each other.
If the guy knows that girls in their mid-twenties (which would be his preference) look for 40-y-o guys, he cuts his search to 18-24 range.
And for a 19-y-o, someone who is 5 years older - it is a very big difference, IMO.
It's greater than a quarter of his life difference.

yes, i agree with you, i prefer a woman who is older than me even 40 years old woman but not more, i dont like teenagre girl who they dont know anything....and i hope i could find an older woman than me..
