immanuelle: People who are over 30 and are still in the 'student' or 'studying business' group. And businessmen who can't quite define what business they are in. Must be secret agent stuff.
I am in the first category due to medical situations and have admited to it many times here.
hrt4lse: One of the red flags is one that Tater just jokingly mentioned...being from Tehran, NY
I had someone trying to be from California from a made up city & I called him on it.
Another red flag is when they claim to be from somewhere you might actually be familiar with and they can't answer one simple question about the place.
Another one, when their location is constantly changing. Like from Clyde, CA then all of a sudden they're from Clyde, OK (There is a Clyde in CA, two actually, and I'm very familiar with one of them.)
They forgot one word up there, The word near, See:

The worst is "I love you so much..here my email" watz up with that..scammerssssssssss! And as for the forums..the ones that are so nicey nicey and claim they just got married and show everything but the pic of the groom..yeaha I went there
Tater: I resent that... You just be jealous cuz I be talkin out ya league..
Red flags to me are well hell there never ending....
I look over every aspect of their profile, and see if I can find things that don't match up with their picture. for example that me42u guy, his profile said he was 6'0 but you could tell by the pics. that he wasn't any taller than 5'7 his backround walls were white and the wall had a sword or something on it. that told me it wasn't his house most likely an office or state building somewhere. Though he tried to talk gangsta I could tell by his capitalization and punctuation that it was a phoney act. He was also on the computer alot and at night, which that is when real gangsters make their money, then he was also up pretty early, most gangsters sleep til about noon..that is an example on one person I checked out recently, I analyze everyone...
I pay attention to the backround of people pics.
I pay attention to their threads and posts. are they attention hungry, are they high strung, do they stay mad and pick out certian posts of people who have argued with just to restart another when it is obviously uncalled for..
I could go on for hours.. I consider myself "fair minded" but am probably more aware then most.. I judge people VERY quickly, and my judgements are usually spot on
As odd as it may sound (and no offense Tater) I have to agree with Tater. I'm an eagle eye as well! LOL But I have reasons for being that way and they are legitimate.

OOzing honey, telling me that they have found their soul mate, and they "Know" I am what they are looking for. Just so sweet it will give me a glucose spike.
Phone number, and you call, and a woman says "Who the hell are you?
Oh and the classic, I am in Africa on business, but I will be back to the states soon.
Another classic... Can you do me a favor Angel? Remove your profile, because I am your man.
DazzleYou: I hear what you are saying here, but I would fall into this category. Once someone has your phone number you are REALLY susceptible to harassment.
I need to hear there voice, then I can tell if Im really clicking but it has to build up to that I really think before giving numberout but sometimes it with it

After contacting each other through e-mails and IM, there comes a time when you should exchange phone numbers.
If someone refuses to give you their phone number even though you have established you like each other and want to date, then that is a huge red flag.
If they insist on only calling you, then that is a red flag.
If they give you a phone number but never answer their phone and you get voice mail everytime, red flags are flying.
If you mail them cards for holidays or those "I miss you" cards and receive nothing back in the mail, red flag warning.
I have experienced all of the above...
