I just finish reading two of John Grisham's books: Playing for Pizza and The Appeal. Both were interesting, but really different. Playing for Pizza is a "man's" book and The Appeal will make you mad. If I had to recommend one of them it would be The Appeal.
Sorry, but I don't read enough to handle 8 books in one month.

good books I have read, of late. last one was silent prey, by john stanford. thought it was a good read, though I will say if you are going to read it it's in a series so start at the beginning. I generaly read about 3-4 books a week, depending on time, have for many years, will have to think on this one. I come up blank on the best of all. will get back to you soon though, with an answer.
The Luxury of Time by Mike and Jane Tomlinson....Jane was a 26 year old mother of three when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer...she then finds it has spread to her lungs and bones and is given six months to live in 2000 but she decides not to wait for death but fight she takes on extreme challenges which include marathons, 2,500 mile bike rides and in the process raises millions for the cancer charities until cancer finally claims her life... One of the most inspiring stories I've ever read, one amazing lady.
Only A Mother Could Love Him by Ben Polis how he lived with and triumphed over ADHD....this boy attends over six different schools, attends over 3,000 hours of detention and drove his entire family into counselling....this is his truimphant story and how he desperately wanted to be, 'normal.'
A Thousand Splendid Suns........Khaled Hosseini.....
His follow up to The Kite Runner......(If you haven't read it go now and buy it)
Anyway basically a story about two women growing up in Afghanistan against a backdrop of Political Upheavel, War and eventual take over by the Taliban............I found it very insightful as to how women are treated there.......A love story, a story of friendship and how the human spirit endures......
Read the entire Sherilyn Kenyon "Dark Hunter" series in a week and a half....about 12 books in all...still waiting for the next one to come out. 8 books a month....nothing to it!

What are the best book/s you have ever read and would you recommend them to all of us on the forums.
I do appreciate that when books go out into print the same book can be different slightly from country to country..
I know books are more heavily censored in the USA.
Have any of you written a short story you would like to share?
