Tater: I doubt you'll be saying, it's better then Bush when every we are all in poverty, EXCEPT for the government... I also didn't like everything about BUSH....
I would say anyone and anything is better than Bush because face it..you're already there....and it's certainly not Obama's fault since the man took office barely a month ago....

My biggest problem with Bush is the management of the Iraq War (Yes I believe we could have had complete victory in the first 3yrs had it been fought correctly) and that his administration didn't see the oncoming of this crisis and do something about it before it collapsed like it did.
As far as his general foriegn policy, border policy, national security policies, and his handling of 9/11, I support him basically (always a few things in each that could have been tweaked)

No it isn't Obama's fault, but he is making it alot alot alot worse.... it is mostly DEMS. and some republicans fault for leaning on the banks to make bad loan agreements with so little down, and giving loans to anyone who wanted one, even when they banks KNEW the people couldn't afford it...

Well that and throwing good money after bad too didn't help matters any...I am just glad to see you have a president who is concerned about the actual people...not his rich cronies and big business....I used to have respect for Bush during Dessert Storm..911 etc etc...until I started to see cracks and lies about Iraq...How it reminded me of Vietnam and basicly turned into a war that can never be won....yet lives are being lost daily...and when I started to see most of his policies benefit the already well off rather than the people of America as a whole....

With the the pork in the Patriot Act, Bush ran contrary to every "Republican" ideal there ever was. Homeland Security is just another way of saying "another inept layer of bureaucracy" IMO. Add that to the ineffectual EPA that Nixon created and various other policy changes in the Federal Mental Health & Prison Reforms of the DEA & "War On Drugs" of Reagan & Bush '42(basically translate that as the war on people other than the CIA making money on cocaine).
The Republicans are batting zero in the last 40 years on their history of small government my friend. It's just the agenda of the institutions that differ.
Keep on thinking that a Chicago politician is not in several peoples back pockets. He is as straight as an arrow that shoots around a corner. He also didn't win the election per se, McCain lost it.

He became a president when US country was bad in economic and also the war crisis....he try the best to solve economic problems...planing to agree or to balance for every people in the country is difficult, very difficult...but i think, it can be affect for shorterm but for longterm, hope fully will work most of every countries know that, how much US economic down...and war crisis..then what US people soppose Barak obama does for them..when their country full of problems...all we have to see more benefit..future dream for US, new generation..when we still have hope or dream about our future, we always strong..and always meaningful.......

I have to agree. He could have had my vote until Palin.

Well when and if he ever goes off the straight and narrow then he will lose my respect just the rest of them have...but until then he has it 100%...and McCain yes...his campaign was soooooooooooooo upright I can't see why the man lost myself...I mean he musta really been reaching trying to get poor people and minorities taken off the voters list....From where I sit..Obama won this election because he ran a good and fair campaign....

I agree, and people have to realize that people in some Countries will always HATE AMERICA, I don't care how much money you throw at them, they will still hate America.. Their Ideology teaches to hates us, mostly because we are not Islamic and we support Isreal... IT will never change...

He won my vote in the final analysis because he ran a fairly high-brow line of rhetoric. He did not stoop to the mud-slinging, Rove-inspired tactics that typically color such campaigns.
It's too early to tell really. People need to give the guy a break. He's only been President a month or so. He's done more than Bush in that time, even if it's the wrong things. Bush was on vacation until 9-11.

NO white person running against Obama, will get very much support from the black community... period.. But I agree McCain didn't have a chance, because Obama, is one of the best talkers I've ever seen, he talks out of both side of his mouth but still a great talker..

I don't think that's a fair statement..What about the white people that vote for white people????

Clinton didn't deserve it, hell her husband was sleeping at the MLK ceremony. McCain made hardly any effort himself to even reach out to the minority population except for the hispanics.
Tater: The statement is a true statement though, and yes some whites are the same way, but look at the polls... I mean c'mon,
How about some black people voted for Obama simply because he was the best candidate...just as some white people did...If you're gonna talk race...you have to talk about it from more than just one angle...

yeah Well when Bush was saying his last speach, Obama was out to dinner with his family... I feel that was very dis-respectful, to the Office as President, If that was to happen to Obama, the media would have been all over it...
