(I'm half of a couple now myself - since 23rd May 2008 and engaged to get married............ we met after I split up with a lady met via CS - so I can thank CS indirectly).
Congratulations Rusty, and thanks for your support on the non smokers thread btw, despite being a smoker yourself.

Hope everything goes well for you.
Thank you very much...... she's one of those smokers of whom I feel very envious - has the discipline to only smoke two cigarettes a day while I'd have to quit completely or go insane waiting for when I could have my next alloted intake of the drug. :(
When I visit her I am NOT allowed to smoke in her house - and when it's minus 12 degrees outside you can get a chill wind up your dressing gown, believe me!
She wants me to live....... and I'm eight years older, so I do need to take more care of myself.
I'd like to quit; it's symptomatic of things very deep I don't like about myself.......... I know it is not right for me to quit right now (I've got way too stressed and upset in the past trying to quit that it's made me physically ill and I am in a stressful situation right now) but I hope I do get to quit before I die the horrible death of lung cancer.
Jackson: US, too!! Us, TOO! Me & Don met on CS (1/3/07), moved in together in March 2007, and were MARRIED on 8/15/07!
We are (continue to be) in complete and total LOVE!! With our soulmates!!
Best of luck & love to you sweet!
Thanks sweetie, but I'm pretty sure it's over. I haven't heard from him in quite some time. It's alright though. He was very sweet while he was around.

My mother passed away from emphysema. Horrible way to watch a person die. And yes, I'm also a smoker.

I watched my father getting weaker and weaker for two years as he fought to stay independent.......... he didn't smoke, but would have been very pleased if I'd quit smoking before he died.... he kept saying that all it took was willpower - but I read in a quit smoking book that it can take a lot of willpower to stay smoking!
