we all should be paying for water, on a metered basis only though. we re running out of the stuff. we all need to pull up our socks and try conserve it. unfortunately our government hasnt a clue about conservation of water.

What worries me is if they privatize it in 3 years will we be paying fees through the roof then.

I don't disagree with metered water.
I am for water conservation.

Meter the water, have no standing charge, take out the fluoride, and stop charging me through other taxation for the same service.

Then, and only then, I'll sign the dotted line.

well said. ive had enough of this double/triple taxation etc. at this stage, the people of ireland should have free healthcare and education for the taxes we pay

They'll never stop that or other things they are putting into water to keep the masses dumb downed enough so the know they're being screwed but are to "placid-subdued" to do anything about it...

people do really have short memories. i just hope people vote wisely next time. ive run out of politicians to vote for though.
