Aliens

RE: Aliens

I agree! Heard they were going to make a prequel. Wouldn't you consider the alien/predator movies a sort of prequel?

y tu mama tambien

RE: y tu mama tambien

Starring Gael Garcia Bernal, my 2nd fav actor ever after sean penn....to describe this as a very sexy very funny roadtrip movie would do it a great injustice as it makes it sound like usual holly dross...far from it...the humour is intelligent, the sex is not usual do it by numbers fare..the 3 cast members are excellent....this is the hottest movie this side of watching Jonny Depp and Selma Hayek in Desperado

Das Boot

RE: Das Boot

The one submarine movie that actually makes you feel clustrophic...and the ending laves you with a feling similr t the end of Hamburger Hell...both movies seem so authentic and believeble without any of the hollywoood scmalthz that speilberg and the ever boring hanks brought to the ridiculous saving private ryan....The Boat is'nt about nazis or heroes....it's about real men and expendible lives. Possibly best war movie ever

The Legend of 1900

RE: The Legend of 1900

There are few great artists left today....but the master of producing pure beauty is Guiesseppe Tornatore...director of The Legend of 1900...who portrayed Monica Bellucci at her most sublime n the heart wrenching Malena where he showed the complexities and hypocricies of lovethat a hollywood director could'nt dream of and of course is most famous for themost beautiful perfect movie ever, Il Nueovo Cinema Paradiso.

How do i sell this movie?i won't go telling you what happens as in 2 lines I would give the entire story away. I will say thereis no violence, no sex, no witty chat...indeed not much chat of all, no locations apart from a liner and the east docks of new york..

Almost nothing happens in the entire movie...nothing has to, it is beautiful perfection and watchimg it is like being at the national art gallery in trafalgar square looking at a great Turner...and I was amazed that Tim Roth could carry such a movie almost single handedly but he waswonderful in holding himself back.....almost to the point of underacting. If you want to see the greatest director at work in english instead of his usual Italian this is must see

The great escape

RE: The great escape

This movie is still fresh and relavent today, not like many that when i watch them 20 years later I am dissapointed. Naturally when Steve McQueen jumps the fence on his motor bike it stays in my memory. Also saw a documentary recently about this as it is loosly based on fact. I enjoyed this movie and recomend it.
