Seasons Of The Day

Rare... the cold summer rain
Only us two remain
Here in the park
Hours before

Dark falls on us
Tonight we find
Our lives intertwined

Green.. one leaf in the Fall
Brown and gold surrounds us all
Waiting for Spring
Wondering what life will bring

To us
He and I
We live our lives
We strive to get by

What is it worth?
What is the cost?
What is it everybody fears?
Only memories remain
Days turn to seasons
Turn to years

Winter sun in my eye
Waving one last goodbye
Tears on his face
Such beauty and grace

Here in his smile
In my mind
I drive another mile.

"Only memories remain
Days turn to seasons

AWWWW.. Thank you, everyone!! hug hug hug hug

I become really reflective this time of year, watching as the years seemingly fly by, yet my heart and mind remain the same.(Not to mention that my birthday is next month. laugh). Making observations of the world around me. Despite sadness, the light always shines through. angel
