Unnamed Love

This morning,
Beneath the shingles
Of the roof
Watched by a coffee stain
Spilled on the table cloth,
And burnt toast
And amny promises,
In spite of
Many other reasons
Too numerous to mention

While the fried eggs look on morosely,
You said you loved me.
Tonight
I shall fly to Rome
To have you declared
A bona fide
Miracle.
