SENTIMENTS...

“Excitement”
Your fragrance is more beautiful than Myrrh or Aloes
Or the gentle rain
That teases the scented grass.

“Hope”
I await a time
My wife and I
Our hearts entwine
As we caress the gentle light
That tapers from your throne...

“First Love”
Come drink with me my love
From His pool of love
Drink deep my love of his holiness.
O how pure his holiness
How pure his love
To desire, is this wrong?
For desire cannot be quenched
And yet-
He has quenched it with his love

About this poem:

This was written under the influence of the Bible many years ago while I was enjoying a new revelation about life. Influenced by “Psalms and Song of Songs” and used to woo my wife from a spiritual perspective.

Thanks. I was quite a romantic back then

Now I'm single again and have found friends who enjoy the wonderous use of words

Might be better than dating !

Certainly a fun and wonderful way to meet people again. There are certainly some thought provoking and excellent peoms written by our peers that I have enjoyed already.
