The Secret Spot

He circled her belly button with his finger tips,
remembering each rotation,
how each goose bump felt along the way
They laid together in the grass,
watching the leaves fall like autumn snow
The breeze was perfect,
and licked away the sweat from their skin
Her dark eyes contrasted the sunlight,
that snuck through the openings of the tree tops
They laughed at the cloud formations,
counting each jet that flew over head
Only blocks away from town,
still they felt a thousand miles away
Who's to say, that if they felt so inclined,
that they would ever have to go home again

I remember when i was younger, i use to find these spots just outside of town...where it seem as though i was in an undiscovered part of the world...young and in love sometimes i wished we could stay in those places forever and anything we imagined was possible

Thanks Blizza for sharing your secret spot and memories. But is it really just "your" spot or does it belong to us all? I hope our good fellow Bentlee is all right wherever he is now.
