The Magic Forest

In my Magic Forest
It doesn’t matter how far
You may be from me
I can close my eyes
My imagination goes free
I can breathe in your warmth
And tender embrace
Where now you’ve found a space
In a susceptible and guarded place

In my magic forest
Time has stood contentedly still
The sun radiates searing and bright
Star spangled skies glisten at night
The warmth of your captivating smile
The sound of genuine heartfelt laughter
Endears the audience as you mock and beguile

In my magic forest
We have shared moments of joy
And will endure the corrosion of phase
Because you have captivated and endeared
You brighten and enlighten my waking days
Consternation of where we have strayed
Can you feel anything your heart doesn’t want to feel?
The emotional sacrifice spurned defences of steel

In the magic forest

Nothing is real
