THE KING IN THIS HOUSE

My cat whose name is Moses
wrote the laws
he is The King and not some alley cat
he forgives my awkwardness
and smelly paws
and he knows when I go out the door that I'll be back

He knows when we walk side-by-side
down the hall
my step is sure, I will not swerve or sway
He knows who rules this house
and who does not
and if behave I'll be allowed to stay.

About this poem:
Don't we just love our wonderful friends~our pets?
My Moses is 17 years old and weighs 17 pounds. (To him, these numbers are inter-changeable ~ he is neither sensitive about his age OR his weight...

lol!

Hi, starfire_girl,
No matter by what name, cats do rule! Glad the poet's been allowed to stay. Moses is surely a beneficent King.
