Fallen Tree

You once stood beautiful and majestic
among all the trees but you were struck
down suddenly..and in the prime of your
life-
****
Oh, what beauty did adorn your leaves and
with what splender had your graceful
branches spread their wings-
****
But, alas! How you have fallen to the dust..
in a day..in a moment
****
But lie there on the ground oh mighty one
that all who pass you by may pause and
wonder,'shall I be next..?'
****
Let all see your rainbow leaves turn
to a wilting brown and humble themselves
to a quiet sleep..
****
Sleep now my great one and take your rest
for I too shall lay down beside you..for
I am natural, but my seed is forever~

It may be a coincidence but I see the actual shape of a tree in these lovely stanzas... developed by words.

"Sleep now my great one and take your rest"

Magical!
