Searching
The ocean sparkles with a fading sun
And moonlight fills the sky
Like a gentle flicker of a flame
Imagination soars on high
Like the empty canvass of an artist
Pictures painted in our mind
Of the peaceful, tranquil waters
Can be sometimes hard to find
Within the shadows of indifference
And the darkness from above
Truths light will guide us on our way
With the gentle touch of love
It’s what is deep within our troubled soul
We sometimes wish to hide
But to give presence to our precious dreams
In our hearts we must confide

Very true words...very lovely poem...It is good to get young ones involved..I never tire of teaching my Grandson about the beauty of Art and literature.

I couldn't agree more! Splendid and it makes it so much more meaningful having written this with your child. That's such an awesome feat having collaborated with your child.
