The Bar Scene!

The Bar Scene!

Tis a lonesome night and man doth seek an unknown woman for a treat!

He goes to the bar and takes a high stool swiveled seat,

Oh! Where is this lonely woman he wants to meet!

He looks around and what does he see

There’s many couples but he thinks … where is the single one for me!

He asks the bar-tender for a drink and two women appear and sit at the bar!

They have a liquored drink
and quickly leave for home alone by car!

Another woman does appear

A man picks her up and buys her a companion beer!

Then two more women sit down,

They look at him and quickly frown!

They eye him up and down, like buying a woman’s throw away plaything from a store

They search the bar looking at the men, they are wanting more!

Music plays and couples dance, holding close

Romantic music, dancing cheek to cheek, of course!

In a dark corner at the bar he peruses
A lovely lady sitting all alone

She’s the kind he would gladly take to home

He nods at her and she returns his wink!

She nods back at him and he ask the bar-tender
to bring her another of her same intoxicating drink.

She toasts, raises her glass on high,
she waves at him giving him the woman’s devilish roaming eye!

He slowly raises from his bar stool

Another man quickly sits down with her, he was too slow, You fool!

He doesn’t give up, the night has just begun

A pretty woman sits next to him and she is very alluring and very young!

He asked her if he could buy her a drink
She quickly answered, yes my dear!

Bar-tender give this lady what ever she wants to drink and give to me a beer!

How did the evening end? If you promise to keep a secret, I’ll tell to you

He took her home, gave to her wanting kids and afterwards they married too!

OH! Did I say … she no longer lets him go to the bar alone!
Is there any women here on Connecting singles looking for a drink?

Lol

Hi, the bar stool poet! Hope you aren't seriously looking for her alone in such places as bars?! This is the wrong place to search, I mean, you have less chances to find her there: she's at home at such time or at the concert or cinema. At such time she's busy doing real homely things and then goes to bed in due time as a good girl. She's the right sort well prepared for the role of a good wife and lifetime companion. Search her where she is supposed to be. Bon chance, mon ami, in the New Year!!!heart wings peace beer

My Friend,

Tis true, to find your diva
Look ye not upon the nighttime street
And neither on a bar stool seat!

But yet, it’s so hard to do
She’s lives so far away
She lives at home, not next to you!

Not knowing her, you cannot knock or telephone ring
How else can you give her a romantic fling!

You cannot knock upon her door
and say, I am your milkman

Do you want more milk today
Or … perhaps would you
like to come out and play?

Tis very hard a good-woman to meet
Of course there’s the concert or the cinema
But how does one find an eligible girl
near an empty seat?

The good ones live so far away
Where’s the pub?

I think I’ll have another drink today!

(Only Kidding, only drink on occasion) Lol

I love this poem...the end made me smile.

There's nothing wrong in meeting a woman in a bar. Not all of them have taken the bar to be a place where they search for men. Sometimes, they just want to have a drink.

Sometimes ... they (women)just want to
have a drink.

(Yes)

And sometimes they want a man to go
along with the drink as a chaser!
Lol

It was so nice that you stopped bye.
Glad you liked the poem.
