After The Rain

The ground lies damp
Beneath the overcast sky of empathy
My eyes discover the relaxed view
Nature is quiet and blessed with serenity

Mustang 66 sound of tires grip the road
Destination is just to a little store
Where one can buy
Apples of red, green and gold

The sun's slowly pace is trying
To bring it's glow through the clouds
And gives me a peace I cannot explain
And nature is quiet and blessed with serenity
After the rain

Now I know why the poetry corner forever pulls like a magnet when such poems emerge applause
