Concrete Heart

I use to write of love but I won't anymore
I won't mention the feelings I had at the start
And if she were to look for me she might find a familiar face
But she won't find me I'm hidden away in a concrete heart

A heart can only hurt so long then it finds a way to turn to stone
Could there have been a love story could there have been a love song
And I forget those feelings the pain became too sharp
What is there to say when love is hidden away in a concrete heart

Now tears only make it to the edge of my eyes and never fall anymore
If my eyes turn red I ignore that and play it smart
And if she were to look for me she might find a familiar face
But she won't find me I'm hidden away in a concrete heart

Friendship not many lives live by " Think happy, be happy..." I've known people that have found love here, others have been deceived. Many just have given up.
Eyelook4u, having someone to love is not the only thing that makes your world have meaning. You have a purpose for sure, seems you have not found it yet. SMhug
