Why are the lonely lonely
How do you define sad and blue
Why are the lonely lonely
One day it rains on me the next day it rains on you

Why are the lonely lonely
Someone should write a song
And heal all the broken hearts
That have been hurting for so long

If there were a magic voice
That could lead all the romantics
To a love that was faithful and true
Especially when love and honesty is way over due

Why are the lonely lonely
Is this a question in vain
Why are the lonely lonely
Maybe it has something to do with the rain

I like this poem.

My investigation into the topic of the poem is due to many factors.

There are many with mental illnesses (cause of isolation and loneliness).
There are many who can't recover from a broken heart (cause of isolation and loneliness).
There are many who are comfortable with a solitaire life (cause of isolation and loneliness).
There are many who are sick or disable. (cause of isolation and loneliness).
