Homeless

There was an old man with holes in his shoes,
Begging for his bottle of booze,
A woman and child cardboard for a home,
Roaming the streets with nowhere to go,
A cripple with a homemade sign,
"Can you spare a nickel? A dime?",
A big eyed young girl holding a cup,
"Mister do you have a buck?",
A veteran lost since Vietnam,
Holding a poster"Help or I'll starve",
Hopeless hungry with no job,
Wow, we have so many problems,
How in the world will we ever solve them...

Enkidu
Many wear blinders and in complete denial
to consider if it does not personally
effect them they don't want to see or hear
about it.

I feel for the vets that our goverment used and forgotten left crippled and homeless in earlier battles. Still to this day a lot of vets are left out in cold. What to do but if you care take the time one petson at a time. I know from experience dealing with homeless people my own problems became a lit smaller and compassion grew. Gpod write T I admire it...jessehandshake

I met a Vet in Florida, the tales he told me had me in tears, he still suffers from the horror of seeing his best buddies killed, it is so sad, the world is so sad.
