pick a subject that sturs your emotions and incourperate those emotions, most spoken poetry is very powerfull and has alot of emotion in it. example: my blood runs cold like a frozen waterfall seeping its tears for all the injustice, seeing the masses glisten in blankits of blood as garnets sprinkled upon the ground, the childs cry seeps into my inner core like a harsh winter wind frezzing my inner soul into the numbing abyss. Hope this helps
Hi, I wrote and posted one recently on here entitled "I am monster" Just something that you experience in real life or a subject that intrigues you..Andrea Gibson is one of my fav spoken word poets..
I been on stage a bunch..its all about rehearsing and knowing your material..feel it when you speak it so they can too..make eye contact with random individuals who may be digging it and above all be yourself express yourself....i try to imagine im the only one in the room when I'm nervous...I'm sure you'll be great..knock em dead
just here to say.."you go girl...you can do it!" Wish I could help but have no personal experience in this area..

I know you already had my friend. And while I am late, it was such an outburst of so much loads of pain with astronomical proportion, making me humbled so deep down and my kneel is offered to you my friend. for what you have become. My inspiration. Love you my friend.
