You know as hard as I have tried,
I just can’t forget how I feel when I’m with you,
or the way things so effortlessly come together
when we’re alone and it’s just us two.

It’s been like that from the beginning.
I can remember when we first saw one another,
how a smile come to out faces when our eyes met,
and how at ease I felt with you, like no other.

I’ve only heard about people feeling this way
and I must admit, I thought it was over exaggeration,
something that only happened in fairy tales
yet here I am, experiencing with you that same connection.

As much as I have tried to put it behind me I just can’t.
I can’t forget how loved I feel in your embrace,
or how your kisses make me want you all the more.
It’s those memories that keep a smile on my face.

I could never forget you, nor could I ever forget us.
Doing so would leave a huge void in my heart,
something I can’t allow myself to experience
and I guess… I’ve known that right from the start.
